Personal Advocates

Unfortunately, sometimes seniors face ethnic or cultural barriers in the healthcare system or are unable to advocate for their own care. They don’t have to be alone. You can rely on Palm Beach Care Management to make sure your loved one gets what they need from their medical team and other providers. You’ll have an experienced advocate who works tirelessly in the senior’s best interest and gives you regular updates on your loved one’s care.

My mother is used to a certain lifestyle (socializing with friends, engaging with her community, etc.) and we were afraid she would have to sacrifice those things as she transitioned into senior living. Palm Beach Care Management advocated for my mother to make sure she maintained the life she knew and needed.

Frequently Asked Questions:

What will regular updates about my loved one look like?
Communication happens in several ways such as telephone or email. It may be in person. The goal is that the family that is involved in care can reach their care manager at any time. If the client has a crisis or another situation that has an immediate need then a care manager will be there and regularly updating the family. The care manager is advocating for the elderly person and for the family.
How are different cultures, races, and faiths advocated for?
Palm Beach Care Management requires a well-rounded, diverse staff to achieve this level of advocacy. We take great care adding services and servants that are inclusive and diverse to guarantee your needs are met. Our clients come from every walk of life and culture is very important in their care. Our care managers have gone to great lengths to make sure that clients have access to their faith-based activities, cultural outings, and whatever is needed for quality care and the happiness of the client.
Do we have a choice about the providers used in the care of our parent?
Absolutely–our recommendations are just that. Since the service providers will be paid by your family, you have the final say on who should provide the service. You also have the option to decline the services being recommended. The goal is what is best for our client but we don’t put any services in place without approval. This makes transitions as easy and comfortable as possible. We’re partners in the best quality of care!
